Good day!!! As we look forward to the next set which is PHYREXIA: ALL WILL BE ONE which will release soon, we delve a little deeper into the current MTG STANDARD meta.
I've categorized the decks into TIERS but that doesn't mean if you use a Tier 1 deck you get an easy pass. MTG is a game that needs skill but it's not bad if you also have luck on your side. Tier 1 decks have one thing in common in all of them and that is CONSISTENCY. It's this consistency that they are able to implement their game plan and also wiggle them off trouble when it arises.
Here are the decks which I consider to be currently in TIER 1 of STANDARD
Grixis Midrange
MONO BLACK AGGRO
AZORIUS SOLDIERS
ESPER AGGRO
MONO WHITE MIDRANGE
MARDU MIDRANGE
MONO RED AGGRO
Those are the decks that I consider the top of the standard meta right now. The decks that are listed above are not mine. I just presented them for you guys to have an idea of what cards to use or to look out for. Bringing a tier 1 deck won't guarantee victory or a top 8 finish but it will increase your chances of getting that place on the podium. There is no problem in bringing that sweet home-brewed deck, that is creativity, and who knows it might well be the next tier 1 deck. Just do your best always.
