Jeskai Midrange by CAB

With everyone buzzing about the top decks of the recently concluded Mythic Championship. You will see most of the players play the Top 8 decks specifically MBA (Mono Blue Aggro) which Autumn Burchett piloted perfectly to win the championship.

With the current meta in Davao MTG community , not many deviate from the current meta in Standard as many players go with the ever popular reclamation/nexus combo , different iteration of the Gates deck , Esper Control and of course the current deck to beat Mono Blue Aggro. So our good friend Clyde Bisares played a rather unusual deck , JESKAI MIDRANGE / JESKAI ANGELS. He masterfully 5-0 'ed the latest Davao Magic Shop FNM.

Here is the breakdown per round :

R1: VS. Mono Red Aggro (2-1)

R2: VS. Gates Control (2-1)

R3: VS. Bant nexus (2-1)

R4: VS. Naya Dinos (2-1)

R5: VS. Mono Blue Aggro (2-1)

And here is the deck list for everyone to see and if possible try themselves.

Jeskai Midrange:

Maindeck (60) :

3 Adanto Vanguard

4 Tocatli Honor Guard

4 Resplendent Angel

2 Aurelia, Exemplar of Justice

2 Rekindling Phoenix

2 Shalai, Voice of Plenty

2 Lyra Dawnbringer

1 Teferi, Hero of Dominaria

2 Lava Coil

2 Lightning Strike

2 Negate

3 Response // Resurgence

2 Deafening Clarion

4 History of Benalia

1 Ixalan's Binding

4 Clifftop Retreat

4 Glacial Fortress

4 Hallowed Fountain

1 Mountain

4 Plains

4 Sacred Foundry

2 Steam Vents

1 Sulfur Falls

Sideboard (15) :

3 Dire Fleet Daredevil

1 Teferi, Hero of Dominaria

2 Negate

1 Disdainful Stroke

2 Demystify

2 Banefire

2 Settle the Wreckage

1 The Immortal Sun

1 Ixalan's Binding

As you can see his deck list almost got everything covered from denying ETB effects , Board Sweepers and Counter Magic . Sideboard looks quite well rounded as well from aggro to control matchups. The deck looks promising and should be another tough matchup for those who will try and take away his crown on the next FNM. I hope to take a crack on this deck this week either via test play or official match.

Again Congratulations CLYDE on the win.
